We obviously don't have full powers over animals. We must always bear in mind that animals are living creatures that deserve our respect. Even if we breed animals for food, when it comes times for them to die, it must be as swift as possible, with the least possible stress and always with a modicum of respect. I repeat: we humans do not have full powers
over animals.
Do we have responsibilities?
Yes, we have responsibilities notably when it comes to the survival of species. If we respect animals, their environment, their biotype, the species will survive. We fully realize that on our planet right now, we're
destroying the environment; we're destroying the forests and that means we're also reducing the animals' habitats. If we continue at the pace we're going now, it's obvious that some species will quickly disappear even though it probably could be avoided. Yes, we have huge responsibilities towards animals.
