They say conservation is everyone’s business, but it’s important that everyone at home, even at home, respect the environment by adopting good habits to protect this environment. Often, each small gesture can have consequences. For example, people are currently talking about blue-green algae, people who have lakefront cottages, and they’re
talking about reducing phosphates and nitrates, changing washing habits, respecting riverbanks. Shorelines are for us very important; that’s where we find endangered species. If we could limit deforestation along waterways, that would already be an effective measure. So when people build their cottages and develop their lots, if they used
the right methods, meaning without pesticides, without clearing the shoreline of trees, this could be helpful for wildlife in general even outside the park, everywhere.
