I think the creation of parks and nature reserves has proved to us that yes, there's really no problem for animals and humans to live together. It's a matter of people being able to learn enough about animals, to know them well enough to say to themselves: we'll show animals the respect they deserve; we're prepared to make the decisions that will

ensure they have the space they need to live; we'll respect their habitats, we won't exploit them. Coexistence is a wonderful thing; we're living it here and now. It is definitely doable. Take for example Algonquin Park in Ontario and several other nature parks: it's amazing how much wildlife and humans mingle in these areas. And we hear of many

other parks where there's a high rate of visitors. It's as if all of a sudden a sort of balance has occurred, where both side benefit from the experience.
