Rolland Lemieux is a wildlife technician with the Québec Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife. His interest in studying animals began in his teens. He was particularly fascinated by predators; it is they who inspired his quest for knowledge.
Specializing in fitting transmitter collars on several species of animals, Rolland Lemieux has perfected techniques for humane capture which focus on protecting the animals. Thanks to his work, invaluable information can be gathered on the health, movements and behaviour of animals that help preserve the balance of the ecosystems.
